MacBook Air

Ever since my friend got the MacBook Air, I have been lusting over this laptop! Even though I may not need a new one, this one only weighs 3 lbs!!! I hate carrying anything heavy from place to place (being a student, i often take my laptop from class to the library to my apartment). I find it very convenient for people who don't like to carry a heavy laptop

The MacBook Air features a intel core 2 duo 1.6GHz, 2GB for ram, 13.3" glossy widescrean, a webcam, bluetooth, and a 37 watt hour lithium-polymer battery. There is also a 11" mac air with less gb for storage and only weighs 2lbs! The 13" features a sd card slot (for memory cards) while both feature 2 usb ports and a thunderbolt port. The 11" air can last up to 5 hours and the 13" air can last up to 7 hours without recharging. Both have attached software which include OS X Lion and iLife '11 so you don't have to buy either! (how convenient is that?!)

My verdict: Go out and get one if you are someone who needs their laptop on a daily basis but doesn't like to carry around heavy things! If my macbook pro were to ever die, this would be my go-to laptop!

ipad 2

Today, students all have a laptop and Apple has decided that the average laptop isn't enough technology surrounding us students. Recently, they just made the ipad 2 which can do almost just about anything that the MacBook can do, but slower. There are pros and cons as to the weight and the RAM space and also the storage space. Many believe that it is more convenient for the customer to carry this lighter product and be able to take to class (as I have seen on campus) and still find the functionality of a laptop. Students are able to take notes and do just as much as a laptop but with half the weight.

I believe that the ipad 2 is unnecessary because I have a laptop! There is no one good reason as to why I would need an ipad especially since I have the MacBook which can do everything (& more) that the ipad can do. Why would you spend over $600 on a product that is only able to do things less than a product that you already have? Some find it as a necessary product while others like me can pass on this product.

My verdict: Not worth your money!

Have a nice week :)
